Citrus.
This is the group of essential oils obtained by extracting the zest from fruits such as bergamot, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon and lime.

Aromatic.
These notes provide the typical freshness of the masculine fragrance. they are mainly represented by Herbal Notes - lavender, artemisia and thyme. Anise Notes - anise and star anise. Culinary Aromatics - tarragon, basil, mint, coriander and rosemary.

Woody.
This is the family of aromas of freshly cut wood and roots, dried under the sun. Most used are sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, vetiver and guaiacwood.

Oriental.
These note bring richness and warmth through mysterious blends of oriental resins, opulent flowers, precious woods and spices, as well as sweet vanilla and musks.

Floral.
This family represents all perfumes whose major theme is a flower. Most common are jasmine, rose, narcissus, tuberose, violet, mimosa and lilly of the valley together with more exotic frangipani and Tahitian gardenia.

Chypre.
This is the French name of the Greek Island of Cypress. The fragrances are composed of citrus elements (bergamot), woody notes (oakmoss, patchouli) and flowers or spices on a musky, amber dry down. It is a very long lasting accord and the general smell is like walking through a forest during Autumn.

Watery.
This describes an ozonic or marine aspect and offers freshens to a fragrance.

Muguet.
This is the French word for Lilly of the Valley.

Fruity.
This regroups all the fruits from the most simple like apple, peach, strawberry and peach to the most exotic like mango, starfruits and papaya.

Green.
These notes are similar to when you rub a leaf between your fingers and then smell the fresh and natural aromas which add lift and create a natural feeling to fragrance.

Musky.
These notes are very subtle and long lasting. they have a very comforting effect and are normally soft, powdery and sometimes fruity.

Aldehydic.
Aldehyde is a chemical name and these notes are sharp and vibrant similar to the metallic smell of a hot bubble bath or the steam when ironing.

Spicy.
These notes bring magnetism and warmth to fragrances through both the warm spices (cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg) and the modern fresh spices (pepper, ginger and baie rose)

Fougere.
This is a masculine accord based on a mixture of raw materials to create a well balanced fragrance. It is based on lavender, patchouli, moss,geranium and coumarin.

Fresh.
This is like the breeze, with a cooling effect.

Tonic.
This is an invigorating note - usually the citrus / aromatic notes are considered as Tonic.

Vanilla.
This is a very sweet note very common in ice cream flavours.
